There are many things in life that you won't see the full value of until you've done it faithfully over a long period of time. Don't ever give up on something God has asked you to do just because it doesn't seem that important in the moment. I believe we could potentially miss out on some big things God wants to do by quitting on the small things. Always remember, a bountiful harvest has to first be planted one seed at a time.
